Remilinger Farms - Seattle trip

Stace and Sharon took our family to remilinger farms... It's changed a lot since I was a kid. Now there are all sorts of rides and games for the kids to do.

Brandon isn't going to like this post

We discoverd that Jackson has a new talent... in FASHION. He designed these little outfits for the girls one cloudy afternoon.
We have here the jumper
Then he got creative, this is the angel
And finally the Butterfly

Slugs...

When we went to visit the Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Stace, Jackson decided to go slug hunting. He picked them up with his bare hands (the thought makes me cringe!) and would put them in this bucket there were upwards of 40... We didn't want to pull them up and count.

One of my biggest fears...

Anyone who knows me knows of my fear of water... okay not so much the water but the things that live in it like fish and seaweed. TOTALLY FREAKS ME OUT! I just saw this story on FOX news and it pretty much puts the final nail in the coffin for me. I am NEVER getting in the water again. At least lake water, or sea water or river water... Pool water is okay.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — It's a fishing tale that packs a wallop so strong it broke the jaw of a southeastern Arkansas teen and covered him in fish blood and guts.
Seth Russell, 15, of Crossett, was cruising Lake Chicot on a large inner tube towed by a boat when a Silver Asian carp leaped from the water and smacked him in the face. Seth was knocked unconscious.
"He doesn't remember anything at all," the boy's mother, Linda Russell, said last week. "He was laughing, and the next thing he remembers, he is waking in a hospital."
The teen has had oral surgery to wire several teeth together and still experiences back pain that doctors attribute to whiplash from the high-speed collision, his mother said.
He's not the only one who's has a run-in with the "flying" Silver Asian carp.
"They do not fly, but they are quite good jumpers," said Carole Engle, director of aquaculture and the fisheries center at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. "Over the past year, we have had some calls about fish jumping and causing injuries on Lake Chicot.
"Their jumping behavior is a problem, and their population appears to be growing there," Engle said.

Everyone thought I was being irrational. I don't think so...

Dinosaur Park

This is the the Dinosaur Park my parents took us to in Ogden. The kids loved it... Especially Jackson.

For those of you who don't know my Dad he owns a parking business in SLC. He has a lot in common with this type of dinosaur whose name translates to "good parkers"

Jackson, about to be eaten!!!

Spidery Rudd

This is Jackson's hermit crab. He wanted me to post a picture of it. We have had it 2 months now and have not killed it. Really quite amazing since our track record isn't great... especially for frogs, our children are like angels of death.
